Turkish theatres don’t release ‘The Beyond of Hill’

Turkish movie ‘The Beyond of Hill’ (Tepenin Ardı) has 16 awards include Berlin Film Festival and Asia Pacific Festival (30 festivals) but only 7 theatres apply for releasing The Beyond of Hill with begin this Friday. But it is demanded by European theatres much more than Turkey.

Germany independent film delivering company Arsenal announced it will be released by 16 cities in Germany and Austria.

Although French film delivering company Memento Films explained it will be released in 25 cities and 30 theatres April 2013.

Movie is about a Turkish family which doesn’t care about inside problems but reflects them to an outside enemy.

Some Turkish critics said some Turkish festival awards which have been given to bad ‘art’ films cause watchers reaction. People went to theatres for awarded films but those films were not so good.

And now only 7 Turkish theatres apply for releasing ‘The Beyond of Hill’ despite all demand of watchers.
